Mechanical Design Engineer - Structural FE & Fatigue

Warwick - Hybrid £40,000 - £55,000 + Benefits - Permanent VIQU are working with an established engineering manufacturer delivering large-scale, heavy‑duty mechanical systems to recruit a Mechanical Design Engineer with strong experience in structural fabrication and load‑bearing equipment. You will build and solve complex analysis models of gas turbine components using Finite Element (FE) analysis software such as Abaqus or SC03. Perform detailed stress, fatigue, and structural integrity analyses to support product development at both system and sub‑system levels. Conduct fatigue, damage tolerance, and integrity assessments for critical rotating parts, ensuring product reliability and safety. Collaborate with design and manufacturing specialists to enhance component producibility and engine life management strategies. Produce accurate technical reports and participate in audits to ensure the quality and accuracy of analyses, and mentor junior team members.
