Special Education Teacher
$44 - $54 per hourSchoolforce Solutions Inc
We are looking for a talented Special Education Teacher for high school age children to join our team for the school year.
Hourly Rate Range : $44.00-$54.00 per hour
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Provide a basic core program for special education students using a district-approved curriculum.
- Plan curriculum, lessons, teaching methods and special education programs.
- Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students.
- Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials and facilities.
- Assist the administration in implementing policies and rules governing student life and conduct. For the classroom, develop reasonable rules of classroom behavior and procedure and maintain order in the classroom in a fair and just manner.
- Assess student abilities and provide instructional and behavioral assistance for students in accordance with their individual education plan (IEP) and/or their 504-behavior plan as directed by the special education team. Support can be provided 1:1 or in small groups.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
- Must have a valid state Arizona special education teaching credential

- Continued insurance coverage over the summer is optional for the employee.
