Registered Nurse - ICU

Job Summary:
Provides specialized nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU, ensuring high-quality patient outcomes through monitoring, intervention, and collaboration with the healthcare team. Responsible for managing ventilators, cardiovascular drips, and complex procedures in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Administer and monitor ventilator support and cardiovascular medication infusions per ICU protocols.
• Perform and assist with advanced procedures such as thoracentesis, arterial line, and central line placements.
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and document clinical findings accurately in Meditech EMR.
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and execute care plans.
• Respond promptly to patient emergencies, providing life-saving interventions as needed.
• Comply with unit policies, safety standards, and dress code requirements, including royal blue scrubs.

Qualifications:

• Valid ICU nursing license with current ACLS and BLS certifications.
• Minimum of 1 year of ICU experience managing ventilators and cardiovascular drips.
• Strong clinical skills in neuro care and invasive procedures.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a high-acuity environment with a team.
• Flexibility to work 7P-7A shifts, including four weekends per schedule.
