Experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist

We're hiring an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist for a hospital in Houston, TX. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate treatment, care, and needs of patients with breathing disorders. This role focuses on pediatric critical care and neonatal intensive care, including delivery and resuscitation support.

Minimum Requirements:

• Associate or bachelor's degree from a Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science program.
• Current state respiratory therapist license in good standing.
• Registry as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
• Minimum one year of RRT experience.
• Required certifications: NRP, PALS, ACLS, BLS.
• Level 3 NICU experience or pediatric critical care experience. Adult-only experience will not meet requirements.
• Delivery room and neonatal resuscitation experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• PALS certification preferred if not already listed as required.
• Experience with advanced neonatal and pediatric equipment such as Crossvent, Airvo, Bunnell Jet, Drager VN500, Hamilton G5, Evolve Nitric Oxide, pneuton, and Oscillator A.

Assignment Details

• Shift hours: 07:00 - 19:00.
• Patient ratio typically 7:1 on unit.
• Time and attendance enforced; must be clocked in and ready for report no later than 06:37 or 18:37.
• Floating required to Adult ICU, Floors, Level 2 NICU, Level 3 NICU, Level 4 NICU, PICU, and PEDI units.
• Dress code: gray monogrammed scrubs.
• Schedule includes four weekend shifts required per four-week schedule.
