Mission Reeves is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator for its Bridge Division in Charlotte, NC. The role requires an uncompromising focus on safety excellence. Essential Duties Operate excavator (40,000 lb or greater) efficiently; loader and roller (preferred). Have basic knowledge of machine mechanics and hydraulics. Conduct inspection checklists on equipment (tracks, lights, brakes, fuel, oil, water). Maintain equipment: serviced, lubricated, and good working order; proper housekeeping. Understand control levers for bucket movement. Prioritize safety and welfare of workers around machines. Operate vehicle safely in job‑site situations following company policies. Education and Experience Minimum of 6–12 months experience or related training. Valid Driver’s License (preferred). Own transportation. Physical Demands Climb onto and move in/out of the machine several times a day. Sit and operate machine for several hours. Withstand vibration and noise at job sites. Use arms, hands, and feet in repetitive motions. During duties, employees must stand, walk, occasionally sit, reach, and lift up to 60 lbs. Work Environment Continual exposure to moving mechanical parts, outside weather, vibration, fumes, airborne particles, wet/humid conditions, high precarious places, toxic chemicals, and loud noise.
