Applied AI Engineer

Salary: $182,000 - 216,000 per year Requirements:

• 8+ years of experience building and shipping production software, including substantial full-stack engineering exposure
• Proven track record designing and delivering production-ready AI/ML systems and AI-enabled product experiences
• Deep practical experience with LLMs, embeddings, multimodal AI, RAG architectures, and multi-agent frameworks such as LangGraph, LangChain, Mastra, or similar custom solutions
• Strong engineering foundation across backend services, APIs, data pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and modern JavaScript/TypeScript and Python ecosystems
• Experience working with multimodal models, visual analysis systems, and image-driven AI workflows at scale, including familiarity with current image-generation tools and services
• Strong systems-thinking skills with the ability to navigate trade-offs across latency, cost, scalability, accuracy, reliability, and user experience
• Ability to independently take ambiguous problems from concept to shipped product with minimal supervision
• Strong product judgment, visual sensibility, and a high standard for quality, usability, and craftsmanship in AI-driven experiences
• Genuine interest in creative industries such as architecture, design, fashion, media, photography, or art, with an appreciation for aesthetics and taste
• Open-source contributions, side projects, or publicly visible AI work that shows curiosity, experimentation, and passion for applied AI are strongly preferred
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical teams

• Design, build, and launch end-to-end AI-powered product experiences from concept through production
• Architect and implement scalable AI systems using LLMs, embeddings, multimodal models, retrieval systems, agent frameworks, and modern data infrastructure
• Develop production-ready multi-agent workflows and orchestration systems using frameworks such as LangGraph, LangChain, Mastra, and custom tooling
• Build and refine Retrieval-Augmented Generation systems, including embeddings, vector search, retrieval pipelines, chunking approaches, and relevance tuning
• Create multimodal AI workflows that analyze and reason over images, creative assets, and visual datasets using modern multimodal models, embedding tools, and specialized technology such as SAM2/SAM3
• Deliver AI-assisted experiences for search, discovery, content generation, personalization, and creative workflows across our platform
• Assess, improve, and fine-tune AI-generated outputs for quality, tone, accuracy, and creative fit through testing, iteration, and human-in-the-loop evaluation
• Collaborate closely with Product, Design, Engineering, Data, and Executive Leadership to identify high-impact opportunities and turn ambiguous ideas into production-ready AI capabilities
• Make architectural choices that balance speed, scalability, latency, cost, accuracy, and long-term maintainability
• Continuously review emerging AI technologies, models, frameworks, and workflows to uncover opportunities that create meaningful business and user value
