Join our vision of becoming the world's leading provider of energy solutions for e-mobility.The Supplier Quality Engineer is a part of the Supplier Quality Management (SQM) group and reports to the Supplier Quality Manager. The Supplier Quality Engineer must comply with supplier quality standards to meet all product and process requirements and manage and report supplier performance. The Engineer will be responsible for quality checks, Production Part Approval Process approval for new suppliers, and on-going process audits for all suppliers. This role is also responsible for detection, containment, root cause analysis and resolving all supplier related issues. The Supplier Quality Engineer will manage the continuous performance improvement and optimization of all suppliers of components and services, as well as provide coaching and mentoring of the utilization of lean manufacturing problem-solving methodologies.Roles & Responsibilities:Establish KPI activities and conduct on-going process monitoring; prepare updates of performance results for managementInvestigate customer complaints and non-conformance issues, then lead improvement of supplier performanceReview supplier product specifications, inspection standards, and lesson learned activitiesDocument internal audits and other quality activitiesWork closely with key stakeholders to clarify business and technical requirements for Supplier Quality performance, as well as providing delivery according to schedulePerform other position related duties as assignedQualifications:Basic:Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university or equivalent. (Bachelor's degree in Aerospace/Aeronautical, Materials, Metallurgical, or Mechatronics may also be considered)Must be eligible to work in the United StatesWhile travel is unlikely, the ideal candidate will be able to travel, with reasonable prior notice as required (domestic and/or international)Ability to work overtime, weekends, or holidays as requiredExcellent organization, written and oral communication skillsExcellent interpersonal skills and ability to interface with all levels of the organizationStrong foundation in supplier quality managementDemonstrated technical problem-solving abilityGoal oriented self-starter with ability to lead teamsAbility to coach / mentor / develop Engineers and InspectorsMust have a good working knowledge of Microsoft OfficePreferred:Master's degree in Aerospace/Aeronautical, Chemical, Electrical, Materials, or Mechanical Engineering and Mechatronics & MetallurgyExtensive Quality ExperienceBilingual English / KoreanExperience in continuous improvement systems and lean manufacturingShainin Red X / Six Sigma CertificationExperience with the AIAG Advanced Quality Planning and Control Plans, FMEA, Production Part Approval Process, MSA, and SPC (Statistical Process Control)Experience with quality certification and system such as ISO9001/IATF16949 is requiredFamiliar with lean manufacturing methodology and implementationExtensive knowledge in Data Analytics utilizing MS Excel, MS Access or other database applicationsGood working knowledge of Google Suite software programsASQ Certification in Quality and ReliabilityWorking Conditions:Ability to sit, walk and stand for extended periods of timeAbility to work around the potential exposure to dust and chemicalsAbility to wear appropriate PPE as deemed essential for the job functionAbility to lift up to 30 poundsSTARPLUS ENERGY, LLC promotes an equal employment opportunity workplace which includes reasonable accommodations of other qualified disabled applications and employees.
