Job Description

Manager II (Network Engineer) (full-time; multiple openings) needed in Chicago, IL and various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S. to design, develop, and architect enterprise-wide data communication networks, including local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), data center, and cloud-integrated network infrastructures. Plan and implement advanced routing and switching architectures using protocols such as BGP and OSPF to ensure network scalability, redundancy, and optimal traffic flow. Design and administer network security architectures, including policy-based and route-based firewalls, IPsec VPN tunnels, and segmentation solutions across multi-vendor platforms. Configure and manage network access control and authentication systems. Deploy and maintain load balancing solutions to support high availability, performance optimization, and application scalability. Participate in data center migration projects, including the transition of on-premises infrastructure to cloud environments. Analyze network performance, conduct capacity planning, and recommend architectural improvements to support current and future business requirements. Test, troubleshoot, and resolve complex network issues while ensuring compliance with organizational and industry standards. Prepare and maintain technical documentation, network diagrams, and design specifications, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support enterprise infrastructure initiatives. 

Job Specification

Must have a Bachelor’s Degree (or foreign equiv) in Computer Science, Business, Engineering (any), Information Technology, or related field, plus two (2) years of IT experience. Must have one (1) year of IT work experience in designing and managing advanced network configurations and security protocols using Juniper SRX, Cisco Nexus, and FortiGate Firewalls.

In lieu of a Bachelor's Degree (or foreign equivalent), we will accept three (3) years of post-secondary study in any field, plus three (3) years of IT experience. All experience may be acquired concurrently. Travel and relocation to various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S. required based on business needs. International travel not required. Travel not to exceed 5% / year for meetings and to complete assigned projects of varying lengths. Telecommuting may be permitted as needed.

The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: $120,702.00 - $178.290.00.

Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws. The base compensation range listed for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation Capgemini, in good faith, believes it may pay for the role at the time of this posting. This range may be subject to change as permitted by law.

The actual compensation offered to any candidate may vary but will not be less than of the posted range minimum and will be determined based on multiple factors legally permitted in the applicable jurisdiction.

These may include, but are not limited to: Geographic location, Education and qualifications, Certifications and licenses, Relevant experience and skills, Seniority and performance, Market and business consideration, Internal pay equity.

It is not typical for candidates to be hired at or near the top of the posted compensation range.

In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
