Senior EngineerThe Senior Engineer position is responsible for independently delivering engineering services, from conceptual design through construction completion.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Expert in project planning, coordination, and execution, managing time effectively to meet project schedules and task deadlines.Independently complete conceptual design through construction drawing development for large complex projects or multiple projects simultaneously.Create conceptual designs certified to Building Codes, Energy Codes, and LEED standards, while conducting economic and energy analyses.Responsible for calculations, design and layout of equipment, and duct and piping systems on assigned projects.Utilize extensive experience in applications engineering including psychrometrics, refrigeration, acoustics, and controls systems, alongside a strong understanding of engineering standards and project execution processes.Responsible for the quality of HVAC design drawings and models across all assigned projects.Proactively communicate and coordinate project designs with Project Management, Construction and Service departments, Controls, and other trade partners.Effectively and professionally communicate with colleagues and project team members, ensuring appropriate engagement of engineering applications and/or managers in project decisions.Assist with project execution, trade coordination, scheduling, document management, and problem solving/troubleshooting, for field engineers.Oversee other design team members to complete project assignments when requested by Manager, and perform other duties as assigned.Position Requirements (Work Experience, Skills, Licenses, etc.): Excellent understanding of engineering and HVAC design fundamentalsThorough understanding of HVAC systems and applicationsExcellent familiarity with Building Codes and industry standardsProficiency in AutoCAD and RevitEducation and Experience:Required:BS in Engineering or Construction Management8+ years of experience with a Design/Build Mechanical Contractor or HVAC consultantDesired:Professional Engineer licenseACCO Competencies:Proactivity/Initiative: Recognizes what needs to be done and accomplishes it in a manner appropriate for one's level/position and with minimal supervision.Perseverance: Shows wherewithal to fight for difficult goals despite challenges and to bounce back from adversity.Motivation/Dedication: Commits to excellence in pursuing unselfish goals. Work hours begin and end between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm with a one-hour break for lunch and two rest breaks.
