Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive surgical patient care by assessing, planning, and implementing nursing care before, during, and after surgery
• Perform patient assessments, maintain a sterile and safe surgical environment, and deliver pre- and post-operative patient education
• Monitor patients' physical and emotional well-being throughout the surgical care continuum
• Primarily function in a circulating role across all surgical specialties, excluding cardiac and ophthalmology, within a 14-room OR suite including Labor and Delivery coverage for C-sections
• Apply strong skills in vascular and orthopedic surgery; scrub experience utilized as an additional asset
• Float across surgical service lines including vascular, orthopedic, trauma, general surgery, robotic, urology, and ENT

Required Qualifications

• Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Minimum 2 years of current Operating Room experience
• Experience floating to vascular, orthopedic, trauma, general surgery, robotic, urology, and ENT services
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association)
• Both scrub and circulate experience required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience strongly preferred
• Scrub experience in addition to circulating skills is highly desirable
• Experience with a broad range of surgical specialties across a high-volume OR environment
