The Summer 2027 Population Health Analytics Graduate Internship offers graduate students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience at the intersection of healthcare, data analytics, and population health strategy. As a member of the Population Health Strategy Analytics team, the intern will work with large-scale healthcare datasets, including medical and pharmacy claims data and electronic medical record (EMR) information, to generate actionable insights that support Highmark's Living Health strategy. Through collaboration with analytics professionals, clinical stakeholders, and business leaders, the intern will contribute to high-visibility strategic initiatives focused on improving population health, enhancing care delivery, and driving value-based healthcare outcomes. The program provides hands-on training and exposure to advanced healthcare analytics, strategic planning, and business decision-making. Interns will participate in meaningful projects that involve data exploration, trend analysis, performance measurement, predictive insights, and strategic research. SUMMARY OF JOB RESPONSIBILITIES This job has the goal of providing the opportunity to acquire practical experience through direct exposure to the related business line(s) and to develop the next generation of diverse business professionals. To that end, the program will provide hands-on training and experience in the business line, expose the various career opportunities in the business line and related areas, and prepare participants for positions in the business. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree. Pursuance of a graduate degree full or part-time in an accredited college or university. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Pursuing a Master's degree in Analytics, Data Science, Public Health, Healthcare Administration, Health Informatics, Statistics, Economics, Business Analytics, Epidemiology, or a related field.
