Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Make an impact as a dedicated Special Education Teacher supporting elementary-aged students across a variety of school settings for the upcoming academic year. This contract opportunity begins August 5, 2026, and runs through June 4, 2027, providing enriching classroom experiences and tailored support within several elementary schools in the region. With a weekly schedule of 37.5 hours, you'll play a vital role in delivering exceptional education to students with a range of special needs, from mild to more complex disabilities.

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid South Carolina Special Education (SPED) License required
• Previous classroom experience as a Special Education Teacher, particularly at the elementary level, strongly preferred
• Proven ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and communicate effectively with staff and families
• Flexible, adaptable, and passionate about serving diverse learners
• Commitment to onsite instruction throughout the contract period

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to each student’s unique needs
• Provide direct instruction and interventions for students in resource, self-contained, or inclusion settings
• Collaborate closely with paraprofessionals, related services providers, and general education staff
• Monitor and document student progress, adjusting strategies as needed
• Foster a supportive, positive, and inclusive classroom environment
• Engage in ongoing professional development and school-based activities as required
