Job Summary:

Operating Room Nurse in Springfield, Illinois. This position involves providing specialized surgical nursing care within the operating room environment. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The role involves working a 4x10-hour shift schedule, from 8:45 AM to 7:15 PM.

Job Details:

• Location: Springfield, Illinois


• Position Type: Traveling Operating Room Nurse


• Schedule: 4x10s, 0845-1915, minimum 40 hours per week


• Required Qualifications: Valid Illinois license in hand or in application process, active BLS certification, minimum 3 years operating room experience, Cerner charting system experience preferred, Level I trauma experience required, experience with all specified surgical procedures including Bariatric, General Surgery, Neurology, Orthopedic, Plastic Surgery, Transplant, Urology, and Trauma cases, and emergency management skills.


• Preferred Qualifications: CNOR certification, Cerner Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience.


• Float: Float rotation may be required within scope (some flexibility).


• Additional Information: Must have active Illinois license, and be fully vaccinated for seasonal flu (medical or religious exemptions only). Candidates must submit 2-3 interview times upon application, include SSN and DOB at submittal, and meet all certification and experience requirements. Candidates must have 18 months of recent unit-specific experience unless otherwise specified, and are expected to work 2 out of 3 major holidays.
