Cashier Position

Join Missouri Baptist Medical Center in St. Louis County! We're looking for a cashier to join our team. This part-time role offers 24 hours a week with an 8-hour shift from 5:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. We prefer candidates with barista experience and require rotating holidays and every other weekend work.

Missouri Baptist Medical Center provides a full continuum of medical and surgical services, including heart care, cancer, women and infants, breast health, gastrointestinal, orthopedic, stroke, therapy, wound and pain management services. The hospital has a 24-hour adult emergency department and cares for pediatric patients at a separate emergency department in collaboration with St. Louis Children's Hospital.

The Food and Nutrition Services department at Missouri Baptist Medical Center's mission is to provide nutritionally balanced meals and medical nutrition therapy for patients, staff and visitors of Missouri Baptist Medical Center by working collaboratively with the facility's nursing, ancillary and medical staff professionals. Our licensed clinical dieticians provide medical nutrition therapy to both inpatients and outpatients as it relates to their personal medical needs. The department's patient services, production and retail teams work to deliver a variety of food offerings on a daily basis that are nutritionally balanced, healthy, flavorful and fresh for the hospital's patients, employees and visitors.

The cashier position fulfills a variety of functions in the cafeteria such as ringing customer transactions, following cash handling procedures, re-stocking, sanitation and assisting with customer requests.

Responsibilities include performing customer sales transactions by maintaining accuracy, timeliness and following department cash-handling policies and procedures. Maintain an accurate and secure cash drawer, assist with resolution of customer service problems and customer requests, and assist with re-stocking food areas and complying with sanitation guidelines.

Minimum requirements include less than 2 years of experience and no supervisor experience. Preferred education is a high school diploma or GED.
