Contract | 13 Weeks | Evening/Mid Shift (3x12 Hours, 15:00–03:00) | Onsite | Weekends Required | Expected 36–48 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Room setting, including patients across the age spectrum with some pediatric experience expected
• Adapt to varying scheduled days based on staffing needs, including weekend shifts
• Must be available to work 2 out of 3 winter holidays during the contract period
• Float within scope of practice to other units as needed per facility policy
• Maintain ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications — TNCC must be obtained prior to start date
• Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health records

Required Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license (pending license accepted; must be in hand by the Wednesday before start date)
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS required ; TNCC required (may submit with TNCC pending, but must have prior to start)
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room experience required; at least 1 year in a Level 1 Trauma Center or 2 years in a Level 2 Trauma Center, including some pediatric experience
• Epic EMR experience required
• Nursys verification required at time of submission
• References required
• Block scheduling is not available for this position
• Requested time off maximum of 40 hours for the duration of the 13-week contract; all RTO must be disclosed at time of submission
• Any pre-start vacation between sign date and start date must be disclosed at submission

Preferred Experience / Skills

• BSN preferred
• Experience in a high-volume or academic medical center Emergency Department
• Comfort working with a diverse patient population including pediatric cases
