Telemetry Technician

Overview Hourly Pay Range: $18.84 - $27.32 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors. Position Highlights: Position: PCT Telemetry Tech Location: Elmhurst, IL Full Time: 36 hours/week, night shift Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:00p-7:00a Float to any inpatient unit that may need assistance On call - if census is low and not needed in other areas of hospital Holidays are scheduled on a rotating track Self-schedule 4-5 weekend shifts in a 6-week schedule Responsibilities Under general supervision, monitors cardiac rhythms and pulse oximetry of patients to detect abnormal pattern variances via telemetry equipment. Notifies nursing and/or medical personnel according to established procedure. Performs clerical related duties as necessary. Qualifications Education : High School Diploma or GED Preferred Certification: EKG Certification Experience : Minimum three months of previous healthcare or monitor tech experience. Must pass initial and ongoing competencies. Unique or Preferred Skills: Experience monitoring rhythms of anywhere between 50-70 patients Experience with Philips Monitoring System Excellent interpersonal skills including teamwork, ability to prioritize, ability to receive and follow through on directions.
