What You'll Do Every Day: Whip up menu items following recipes and quality standards Make sure plates look great and portions are just right Use scratch cooking methods to create tasty dishes Show off your knife skills for chopping, slicing, and dicing Master broiling, sauteing, and frying techniques Skills You Need: Grill, Saute, Fry and Salad station skills Prepping dishes Plating like a pro Scratch cooking expertise Keeping portions under control Skills That Would Be a Plus: Culinary Arts degree Experience with batch cooking and a la carte service Specialize in breakfast, soups, pastries, and dietary restrictions Know your way around line cooking, kitchen operations, and fryers Pay and Perks: Starting Salary: $18.00 an hour Top Salary: $25.00 an hour Health, life, dental, and vision insurance Flexible schedules and vacation time Paid holidays, time off, and disability coverage Employee discounts on meals About Us: Highland Golf & Country Club is a private club in Indianapolis that offers golf, tennis, swimming, dining, and event spaces for members and guests.
