Heavy Equipment Operator/ LaborerFinley Buttes Landfill, a Waste Connections company, is looking to hire a full-time, year-round Heavy Equipment Operator/ Laborer at our facility in Boardman, OR. The starting rate of pay is $26.65/HR. Yes.Working Conditions and Physical Effort:Extensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects over 50 pounds.Safely directing traffic by flagging in the transfer station.Helps CDL drivers with tarping open containers.Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.Ability to operate heavy equipment such as front end loader, forklift, and other heavy equipment.Knowledge of basic computer skills.Knowledge of light and heavy equipment operation and maintenance.Knowledge of basic vehicle inspection and maintenance including tire pressure, checking oil and water levels.Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.To be considered for any of our current openings you must complete an application.Waste Connections is an equal opportunity employer.
