Job Overview Primary City/State: Phoenix, Arizona Department: Cardiac Cath Lab – Hospital Work Shift: Day Position: Registered Nurse – Cardiac Cath Lab Sign‑on incentive: $15,000.00 for RN’s with a minimum of 12 months experience, requiring a 2‑year commitment. Responsibilities Circulate, monitor, and assist in catheterization lab cases for interventional cardiology and radiology procedures—including electrophysiology, TEE, cardioversions, stress testing, pacemaker/ICD, nephrostomy tube placements, tunneled lines, feeding tubes, port cath placements, embolization, and fistulograms. Assist with occasional electrophysiology procedures, TEE’s, cardioversions, and other procedural tasks as trained. Work throughout the Medical Imaging department coordinating procedures. Provide direct patient care and nursing support during and after procedures. Participate in orientation and ongoing training under an experienced Cath‑Lab RN preceptor. Shift Details Full‑time; 4 ten‑hour shifts Monday‑Friday 6:30AM – 5:00PM. Night, holiday and weekend on‑call for emergent cardiac or radiology procedures; must live within 30 minutes of the facility. Core Functions Assess patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural and discharge planning needs. Formulate a care plan and discharge plan in collaboration with family and multidisciplinary team. Implement the plan of care through direct patient care, coordination, delegation, and supervision. Evaluate patient and family response to care and teaching, revising plans as needed. Document assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in the patient record. Provide care based on best evidence, participate in research, unit leadership and onboarding of staff. Contribute to quality improvement and participate in professional organizations. Provide support across all levels, including spiritual support and community coordination. Qualifications Current, valid RN license (or compact/temporary/interim RN license) in the state of practice. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Minimum 12 months RN experience (accredited acute care) and proven competency in an acute setting within the past 12 months. Experience in a cath lab, interventional radiology, or cardiovascular nursing preferred. College degree in nursing or related field preferred; professional certification preferred.
