Financial Analyst IIOur client, a Financial company, is looking for a Financial Analyst II for their Jersey City, NJ location.Responsibilities:The purpose of the role is to ensure the accuracy, compliance, and integrity of payroll operations by analyzing payroll data, monitoring controls, and providing insights that support effective decision making.The role focuses on identifying discrepancies, trends, and risks within payroll processes while ensuring adherence to legal, statutory, and company requirements.By transforming payroll data into meaningful analysis and recommendations, the Payroll Analyst supports continuous process improvement, audit readiness, cost control, and reliable reporting for HR, Finance, and leadership stakeholders.Calculate and process employee wages, salaries, bonuses, commissions, and overtimeEnsure accurate and timely payroll processingReview and validate timesheets, attendance data, and all payroll inputsManage off-cycle payrolls, including corrections, final payments, and special payoutsCalculate and process payroll taxes and statutory contributions in line with local regulationsEnsure full compliance with applicable laws and reporting requirementsPrepare and submit statutory filings and payroll-related reportsAdminister employee lifecycle changes, including hires, terminations, and benefits updatesMaintain strict confidentiality and adherence to data protection standardsSupport reporting needs by preparing monthly and ad hoc payroll dataCollaborate with HR, Finance, Audit teams, and external payroll providersDrive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance payroll accuracy and efficiencyContribute to projects and additional tasks as requiredRequirements:Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Economics, Accounting, or related field is a plus, supporting strong numerical and analytical capabilitiesStrong experience working in Oracle Fusion Cloud HCM Payroll moduleExperience using Oracle Fusion tools such as OTBI, BI Publisher, HSDL, or Element treatments preferredAdvanced proficiency in payroll reporting, data analysis, and reconciliationsAbility to analyze large datasets and identify root causes of payroll discrepanciesExperience supporting payroll system upgrades, or enhancements preferredComfortable collaborating with technical teams on integrations, interfaces, and testing activitiesStrong problem-solving mindset with attention to detail and process orientationExcellent attention to detail, time management, and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environmentExperience with payroll systems and knowledge of payroll processes, garnishments, and benefits administrationStrong skills in MS Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data validation), Word, OutlookStrong research, problem-solving, and solutions-oriented mindsetWhy Should You Apply?Health BenefitsReferral ProgramExcellent growth and advancement opportunities
