North Alabama Medical Center serves as a regional facility with more than 200 physicians on staff who represent more than 42 specialty areas of medicine. How you'll contribute A Medical Assistant (MA) who excels in this role: * Performs basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection. * Monitors and communicates changes in patient condition. * Documents patient care given. * Maintains equipment and medical supplies, including reordering, stocking, cleaning, and troubleshooting. * Maintains examination areas. * Performs administrative or clerical duties as assigned, including filing, reception, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration. What we're looking for Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
