As an Assistant Store Manager, you will partner with the Store Manager to drive growth, improve customer service, and maximize profitability. You will support a collaborative team environment and represent the company’s mission of "Connecting Active People with Their Passions." How You’ll Make a Difference Provide leadership and direction to store staff, including supervisors and associates. Execute and support plans that enhance employee productivity and performance. Assist the Store Manager with interviewing, hiring, training, and coaching staff as necessary. Coach and guide associates daily to ensure staff performance standards are met. Maintain appropriate inventory levels through effective replenishment, organization, shrink control, and communication. Collaborate with the Store Manager to develop and implement action plans that address store sales, goals, safety, training, and personnel development. Qualifications No specific education required (High School Diploma or GED preferred). Minimum 5+ years of experience in a similar position or specialized role. Proficiency operating a Point of Sales (POS) system and other in‑store computerized systems. Strong judgment and troubleshooting skills to resolve day‑to‑day technical and operational problems. Excellent communication skills, capable of exchanging ideas and information with leadership, associates, and consumers. Job Conditions Frequent activity in an active environment with the need to move about and occasionally lift items weighing up to 40lbs. Requires ability to use specialized equipment, exposure to dust and noise, and flexibility to work a retail schedule that may change seasonally or for business trends.
