Manager Labs - Bioanalytical LCMS Research and Development

Thermo Fisher Scientific seeks a Manager of Bioanalytical LCMS Labs to supervise laboratory operations, direct staff, and manage client relationships at a Richmond, Virginia facility. The role involves overseeing technical quality, financial performance, and strategic initiatives within a regulated bioanalytical environment.

Responsibilities

Supervise group leaders and scientific staff; manage scheduling and resource allocation
Interact with clients on proposals, scope of work, and contract negotiations
Review laboratory data for technical quality and protocol compliance
Prepare revenue projections, evaluate resource utilization, and assess project profitability
Lead regulatory and client audits; oversee implementation of SOPs and quality improvements

Requirements

10+ years relevant laboratory or equivalent combination of education and experience
5+ years of direct management responsibility
Proven leadership and coaching skills
Understanding of ICH guidelines, USP requirements, and FDA guidance
Technical troubleshooting and analytical instrumentation expertise
Budgeting, forecasting, and fiscal management knowledge
Strategic planning and project management capabilities
