Registered Nurse (RN) – Telemetry

Location

South Charleston, WV

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 32-bed Telemetry unit serving adult and geriatric populations with cardiopulmonary diagnoses including CHF, chest pain, and post-cardiac catheterization care
• Titrate and manage critical drips including Nitroglycerin, Amiodarone, Lasix, Heparin, and low-dose Dopamine
• Review and interpret telemetry monitor strips each shift in coordination with Monitor Techs and Charge RNs
• Operate and monitor RT equipment including IV pumps, telemetry monitors, CPAP, BiPAP, pulse oximeters, sequential compression devices, and specialty beds
• Adhere to a set weekend rotation (every other weekend) and participate in holiday scheduling rotation with core staff
• Float as needed to Med-Surg units or the Emergency Department to care for boarded patients

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in good standing
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Prior experience in Med-Surg and Telemetry nursing
• Demonstrated experience titrating critical drips
• Prior travel nursing experience required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with chemotherapy administration
• Comfort and willingness to serve in a Charge Nurse role with potential cross-training opportunity
• Familiarity with post-cardiac catheterization care (femoral and radial approaches)
