The Industrial Engineer I role is responsible for coordinating all technical activities on assigned projects. This position plans, schedules, conducts, and coordinates assigned engineering work. This role also monitors all work for compliance to applicable codes, accepted engineering practices, and PTP standards; ensuring effective communication and coordination on assigned projects between all disciplines and all other project participants.

Key responsibilities include planning, scheduling, conducting, and coordinating technical and management aspects of projects, submitting manufacturing instructions to the shop, ensuring technical design accuracy, initiating appropriate corrective actions, contributing to large projects, coordinating activities with purchasing, accounting, manufacturing, sales, and quality control departments, and being accountable for the successful completion of engineering projects.

Tasks include project engineering schedules and forecasts, coordination and checking of engineering deliverables, weekly status updates/reports, extensive contact with assigned project clients, complete contract review of awarded purchase orders to ensure compliance with quoted terms and conditions, communications, coordination, and dispute resolution with clients, coordinating with shop productions to establish delivery schedules for all products on the purchase order, assisting in the preparation of engineering project proposals, and participating in client/contract meetings.

Qualifications and skills include 2+ years in engineering roles related to industrial equipment, piping & pipe supports, or similar products preferred, understanding of piping & pipe supports, industrial applications, and a high-level of engineering principles, strong verbal and written communication skills to engage clients and internal teams effectively, a bachelor's of science degree in engineering, preferably a master's degree in engineering, and an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
