Role Description Direct Support Professionals provide daily support to adults with developmental disabilities in residential and community settings. This full-time, on-site role is based in Providence County, RI and involves assisting individuals with personal care, daily living skills, and participation in community activities. Responsibilities include implementing individualized service plans, supporting skill-building and independence, monitoring health and safety, and accurately documenting services and progress. Team members collaborate with supervisors and other staff, help facilitate transportation and appointments, and promote choice, dignity, and respect in all interactions. Qualifications Candidates should possess skills in Human Services and working with individuals with Intellectual Disabilities. Candidates should possess strong Interpersonal Skills and Communication skills. Candidates should possess the ability to provide Training and support to individuals in skill-building and daily living tasks. High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in human services or related field is preferred. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and follow individualized support plans. Reliable transportation and willingness to travel within Providence County, RI as needed. Ability to meet physical requirements of the job and complete required background checks and pre-employment screenings. Prior experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities is beneficial but not required; on-the-job training is provided. #J-18808-Ljbffr
