Sandy Oak Materials is hiring a Wash Plant Attendant for our wash plant NIGHT SHIFT in Poteet, TX

Job Description
The Wash Plant Attendant will perform a variety of tasks at the mine site. Some tasks require basic skills and can be learned quickly while other tasks require considerable experience or training. Wash Plant Attendants are required to work outside in all kinds of weather or in buildings without heating or air conditioning or in situations including high heights and poor soil conditions. This is a 12 hr Night shift, Monday thru Friday. 

Position Responsibilities
These key duties may include, but are not limited to: 

• Assist with general maintenance of the mine facility and grounds 
• Assisting Wash Plant Operator with daily duties 
• Support the scale operator including assisting with loading of trucks 
• Shoveling sand
• Parts/supply courier 
• Safe operation of several types of mobile equipment 
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Must have physical strength, hand-eye coordination and endurance 
• Must be able to climb over, under and/or in equipment accessible via catwalk or extension ladders 
• Must be able to concentrate on their tasks 
• Ability to be cross-trained to assume other responsibilities 
• Have the ability to understand and communicate information 
• Work independently while unsupervised 

Additional Requirements

• Pass pre-employment drug screen
• Team-oriented, an effective communicator (verbal and written), able to offer technical expertise and guidance, and have the ability and willingness to build rapport with team members and external agencies
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and set priorities appropriately
• Understanding that our company functions as a cohesive operation, and often employees serve in many roles and various functions or capacities
