Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
Ballad Health Medical Associates Outpatient Services is seeking a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our outpatient behavioral health clinic in Big Stone Gap, VA. This role includes caring for patients ages five and up in a supportive, multidisciplinary environment.
Position Highlights
- Collaborative team with on-site Board-Certified Psychiatrist
- Outpatient schedule: 12-hour weekday shifts (7 AM 7 PM)
- No weekends and no call

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations and diagnoses
- Provide medication management
- Offer counseling and supportive interventions
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, APPs, and therapists
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Nursing
- PMHNP certification (ANCC or equivalent)
- Ability to obtain a Tennessee APRN license
- Active or eligible DEA license
- Strong clinical communication and decision-making skills
