In this role you will perform drainage design and analysis for FDOT and other clients, manage tasks, collaborate with teams, and support project delivery and professional growth.What You'll Be Doing:Perform spread calculations, hydrologic and hydraulic analysis and design, drainage tabulation analysis, drainage map delineation, and Bridge Scour Analysis to create drainage plans for FDOT and other client, with guidance provided on assigned tasks as requiredUse Groundwater modeling to create cohesive drainage designsWork with internal and external sources on Environmental Resource Permitting (ERP) of projectsApproach tasks with an open mindset; propose innovative solutions to design problemsPrepare engineering reports and contract documents for reviewMay assign, track, and review tasks of technicians or designers; technical discretion applied to first revision of technician work productPotential to serve as the Engineer-of-Record on assigned engineering tasksResponsible for managing timely completion of multiple assigned tasksCommunicate effectively with team members, internal design groups, and external entities including clients, subconsultants, and relevant government agenciesEffectively present proposed design solutions as part of internal project meetings; may attend and contribute to presentations with external partiesAdhere to company marketing requirements by providing timely personal resume updates and participating in marketing campaignsEnsure timely completion of time sheets and expense reportsTake ownership of personal career development by seeking and providing feedback, seizing opportunities to develop new skills, and setting and pursuing personal goalsContribute to the development of other team members through mentorship and modeling positive behaviorsRequired Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Civil EngineeringProfessional Engineer (PE)Years of Experience: 5+ yearsPreferred Qualifications:Comprehensive knowledge of FDOT processes, procedures and requirements.Security Clearance Requirement:NoneThis position is part of our Critical Infrastructure team.For more than 80 years, our experts have designed and delivered the critical infrastructure that connects and protects communities around the world.
