We are experts at sourcing the freshest fruits and vegetables available year-round.We are currently seeking a Food Safety Quality Assurance Technician to join our team, based in our Bowling Green, OH location .Responsible for following and conducting robust Food Safety & Quality systems and programs; audits and checks, the FSQA Technician will report to the FSQA Manager and work with them as a team to ensure NuProduce Solutions is meeting or exceeding internal standards, customer’s expectation and government compliance requirements.Position: Full-Time, PermanentSchedule: Monday-Friday 10am to done. W/rotating Saturdays (Days and hours are subject to change; may include weekends)Salary: $18-20 per hour depending on experienceEssential Functions:Ensure continuous improvement and adequacy of quality and food safety systems to support end to end compliance meeting regulatory, business, and customer expectations (e.g., product complaint, recall, quality management system).Understand processes and programs for Food Safety to ensure regulatory compliance, including those utilized by NuProduce Solutions (e.g., Food Safety plans, Preventive Control plans, Produce HACCP plans).Chemical preparation & titration verifications.Understand and perform HACCP, GMP, SOP, SSOP, EM duties as necessary to meet government and company regulations.Supports programs and processes to ensure compliance with governmental regulations.Performs other duties as assigned.Job Requirements:Knowledge of spreadsheet, word processing, email and internet software applications.Knowledge of Inventory Management Systems and reporting software applications preferred.One year quality assurance experience in the food/produce industry in one of the following fields: Produce, RTE, Red Meat, Seafood, Poultry, Pork, Lamb.Food HACCP, PCQI, Food Defense knowledge is an asset.Equipment / Tools / Technology:Desktop or laptop computer.Networked printer/ copier/ scanner.Google Applications (Chrome, Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive, etc.)Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Internet Explorer)Department-specific equipmentWhat We Offer:Flexible benefits program including dental, vision, prescription drugs, disability, and extended health coverage,401K,Profit Sharing,In-house certification, training, and career advancement opportunities,Special employee discounts on all products,Employee appreciation events and social club activities all year round,Positive employee culture and rewards for performance.You are required to provide your most recent employment experience for your application to be considered complete.BE PART OF AN AMAZING CULTURE!NuProduce Solutions values our customers and understands that their success is largely dependent upon their workforce.
