The Bellefonte Area School District is accepting applications for the Substitute Paraprofessional position Location: Bellefonte Area School District Type: Substitute Position Overview The Bellefonte Area School District is seeking a Substitute Paraprofessional to assist in delivering instructional and behavioral support to students across various classroom settings. This role is essential to fostering inclusive learning environments and ensuring students receive the individualized attention they need to succeed. The successful candidate will demonstrate flexibility, strong communication skills, and a commitment to supporting both students and staff. Key Responsibilities Aidstudents in understanding subject matter while ensuring classroom routines are followed Review and implement regular paraprofessional routines, procedures, plans, and objectives Establish and maintain a safe and orderly classroom environment Provide instructional reinforcement for individual or small groups of students Assist teacher with classroom management and general supervision of the students Assist with administrative duties such as setting up technology and preparing materials Address students' physical, personal, emotional, and academic needs Perform other duties as directed by the classroom teacher and administrative staff Education Requirements Minimum: High school diploma or GED Experience Requirements Minimum: None Preferred: Previous experience in a paraeducator role Certifications & Licenses Required: None Application Requirements External Applicants Please submit the following documents with your online application: Current employment clearances (dated within the past 5 years) Copies of degree certificates and transcripts Act 168 paperwork, Physical exam results, TB test results (required upon hire) Use your district login to create an internal account.
