Medical Laboratory Technician

Job Description Saint Luke's Wright Memorial Hospital is seeking a Medical Lab Tech to join our team! The position is responsible for the accuracy, timely reporting, and integrity of laboratory results in a CLIA-certified lab. Successful candidates will be expected to work nights, 5:30 p.m. to 6 a.m. Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Responsibilities Perform testing in accordance with laboratory policy, procedures, and regulatory standards. Successfully perform in the laboratory's external proficiency program. Organize and prioritize multiple technical tasks efficiently. Report laboratory results in the Hospital LIS/EMR. Review and approve quality control results to affirm validity of patient results. Maintain instrumentation and confirm acceptable performance. Identify and resolve technical, instrumental, and physiological issues that interfere with accurate testing. Work collaboratively with Manager and Medical Laboratory Scientists and recognize scenarios requiring assistance. Qualifications Less than 1 year of experience or equivalent. Medical Laboratory Technician (ASCP) – American Society for Clinical Pathology certification. Associate Degree.
