Sourcing Specialist

Position Overview Coordinates the purchase and contracting of commodities, equipment, and services in accordance with internal policies and procedures, including investigating alternatives, reviewing cost effectiveness, soliciting bids, and negotiating with vendors. Collaborates closely with the Value Analysis Coordinator of Procurement, MMIS System Administrator, Contract Specialist, Purchasing Agents, and Purchasing Assistants. Coordinates contracts that span across UHS facilities in assigned areas. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive procurement analysis to assess cost, quality, and vendor reliability. Handle solicitation of bids, evaluate proposals, and negotiate terms and pricing. Maintain accurate contract documentation and coordinate cross‑functional contractual agreements. Ensure adherence to internal policies and procurement regulations. Assist in developing and implementing procurement strategies to support UHS supply chain operations. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field with at least 2 years of purchasing experience, or Associate’s Degree in Applied Science with at least 3 years of purchasing experience. Experience with healthcare procurement preferred, and clinical background desired. Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills. Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite. Compensation Hourly rate of $30.58 – $45.86, commensurate with experience.
