Position: Travel Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - NICU

Shift:

7 PM to 7 AM

Unit Information:

Department: Respiratory Care Department (Adults) - NICU
Location: Denver, CO
Building: Main

General Information:

Unit Overview: This unit is equipped to provide specialized respiratory care for infants in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). We ensure optimal patient outcomes through dedicated staff and advanced technology.

Staffing and Ratios:

Staff Composition: Night shift staff typically includes charge nurses, RNs, CNAs, and sitters.
Patient Ratios: Specific ratios depend on the current patient load and acuity.

Required Qualifications:

Minimum of 6 months of current experience as a NICU Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications are mandatory
Experience in Level III NICU
Pediatrics experience is essential

Preferred Qualifications:

Critical care experience
Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) experience
Prior experience with Meditech

Typical Procedures Performed:

Airway management
Ventilator management
Emergency Department (ED) support

Personality Fit:

The ideal candidate will possess strong patient care experience, with an emphasis on effective communication with both staff and healthcare providers.
