Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 18 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 3 years required License: Pending License accepted Certifications: BCLS required Must-Have: Must have level 1 trauma experience Must have circulating experience Must work 2 out of 3 holiday bundles (Thanksgiving & the day after, Christmas Eve & Christmas Day, NYE & NYD) First-timers accepted Description: The role requires experience in trauma and neuro care. The operating room nurse will be responsible for providing patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures. Must be able to manage a patient ratio of 1:1. The nurse will be required to be on-call for 24-36 hours per month. The contract guarantees 36 hours per week, with the facility allowed to call off up to three times during the length of the assignment. This position requires familiarity with various surgical procedures and competencies related to operating room safety and patient care. No local candidates will be accepted within a 100-mile radius. COVID vaccine is optional, though reporting of vaccination status is required. Flu vaccine is required, with medical/religious exemptions only. The nurse must possess skills in multiple surgical procedures including, but not limited to, abdominal and gynecological surgeries. The OR environment requires adherence to universal protocol and safety standards. Additional skills in trauma, neuro, and cardiovascular nursing would be beneficial for this role.
