Senior Staff Accountant

Chief of Staff KC is seeking Senior / Staff Accountants for multiple of our trusted clients in the Kansas City Metro area! Responsibilities Support the month-end close process, including preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and monthly accruals Process and review accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions to ensure accuracy and timeliness Prepare and analyze balance sheet and income statement reports to identify trends or discrepancies Assist in developing monthly financial statements, management reports, and supporting schedules Perform bank reconciliations and investigate variances as needed Contribute to the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and audit documentation Maintain organized financial records and assist with special accounting projects as assigned Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required CPA preferred, but not required. 1-4 years of general accounting experience preferred (internships or relevant coursework considered) Working knowledge of GAAP and standard accounting procedures Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills Proficient in Microsoft Excel and comfortable working with accounting systems and reporting tools Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively across departments High attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to prioritize multiple deadlines in a dynamic environment #J-18808-Ljbffr
