Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) Cleveland, OH, USA Job Description Posted Wednesday, February 11, 2026 at 5:00 AM Help Shape the Region’s Most Compassionate Response to Mental Health and Substance Use Crises The Centers is launching the Behavioral Health Crisis Centers (BHCC) this September, an innovative, state-of-the-art facility designed to expand access to immediate, trauma-informed support for adults experiencing mental health or substance use crises. Our walk-in, 24/7 crisis model will offer people a safe, welcoming alternative to emergency rooms, jail, or the streets while providing rapid assessment, stabilization, and connection to ongoing care. The BHCC brings together a full continuum of services across three floors, including crisis care, stabilization, and ongoing behavioral health and primary care supports through our Health Center programs. This integrated approach allows teams to meet people where they are and guide them toward sustained recovery. The Opportunity: Coordinate and deliver comprehensive care including assessment, diagnosis, medication management, and discharge planning. Use recovery coaching principles to create partnerships that empower individuals in crisis. Core Responsibilities: Supervise and provide nursing/medical care in compliance with regulations Complete designated reviews and make appropriate dispositions Prescribe and administer medications Respond to medical emergencies Collaborate with multidisciplinary crisis team Complete H&Ps, progress notes, and clinical documentation Must-Have Qualifications: Master's Degree from accredited School of Nursing Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner training Valid and unencumbered APRN license in the state of Ohio Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) Certificate Current DEA registration Current BLS Preferred Experience: Acute psychiatric setting experience Training/experience in addiction treatment Strong clinical judgment and problem-solving Knowledge of involuntary commitment procedures Computer proficiency Work Setting: Behavioral health crisis services environment Bring compassionate, innovative crisis care to people who need it most, where your work can change lives every day .
