Job Summary
Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse (ICU) Alton, IL. The organization is seeking a Registered Nurse to support a Medical Intensive Care Unit, Neuro Intensive Care Unit, and Surgical Intensive Care Unit. This role includes caring for adult and geriatric patients with complex medical conditions, including stroke and cardiac presentations, and providing ICU-level support that may involve ventilatory and central linerelated care. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details

• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Registered Nurse licensure requirements: Missouri (MO) submission without license is accepted; an MO or compact license is required (no issuance if tied to another compact state). Illinois (IL) requires a license in hand at the time of submittal. Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) are required. Minimum experience of 2 years is required.
• Preferred Qualifications: Cerner experience.
• Responsibilities: Provide ICU nursing care across Medical Intensive Care Unit, Neuro Intensive Care Unit, and Surgical Intensive Care Unit; perform required high-acuity skills including ventilator support and telemetry; manage arterial lines and central lines (care/management); support specialized respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP management and suctioning of ETT/NT; administer and monitor procedural sedation as required; assist with chest tube insertion/removal; titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips when assigned; support stroke and critical illness management including CVA/Acute Stroke management; perform or assist with other ICU-specific interventions such as fresh tracheostomy care, PICC line management, and infection prevention/Isolation Precautions/PPE; support care for patients requiring blood product administration and emergency medication administration; participate in care processes that may include post-arrest cooling protocol and CVVHD/CRRT support as required; complete required charting per unit workflow.
• Float: Float rotation may be required within the service line.
• Additional Information: Will work holidays and weekends as needed.
