Technologist-Interventional Radiology

Performs basic to complex quality radiologic procedures using appropriate technical and safety method as requested by a licensed physician in Interventional Radiology, Neuro Interventional Lab, Cardiac Cath Lab, and Electrophysiology lab. Sets up sterile table, assembles necessary instruments, catheters, guidewires, and contrast materials according to procedure requirements. Assists Radiologist/Neurologist/Cardiologist with catheters, guidewires, balloons, coils, and treatments. Develops appropriate procedure/treatment plan and implements procedure/treatment plan utilizing established hospital protocols/guidelines. Completes documentation as required to comply with policies and procedures. Maintains equipment, procedure/treatment rooms, and work areas in a neat and safe condition to ensure the safety of patients and staff. Participates in departmental Performance Improvement activities to ensure that patient care is consistent with established standards. Completes assigned goals. Other duties as assigned Specifications Description Minimum Required Preferred/Desired Experience as obtained through Minimum of 1 year as a radiology the completion of a Radiology technologist. 6 months Technology Program. experience in IR/Cath lab/EP.
