Essential Functions Additional Information

Our department embodies a culture of teamwork and effective communication, which are essential for providing specialized care to patients. This department provides clinical care for patients from Neonatal to Geriatric patients.

How you'll contribute as a LPN/LVN

1. Under the direction of an RN, contributes to the assessment of patients by collecting data for analysis by an RN.
2. Performs plan of care interventions, including specimen collection and wound care. May administer medication.
3. Assists RN with development of plan of care.
4. Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
5. Monitors, documents, and communicates patient's status and reactions to interventions with RN, physician, patient, and families.
6. Documents patient care given.
7. Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
8. Schedules appointments and procedures as ordered by the provider.
9. Obtains insurance re-authorizations as requested for testing and scheduled procedures.

What we're looking for Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess an associate's degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:

Education: Graduate of an approved practical nursing program License/Certifications: Current LPN license in state of practice; BCLS required; Handle with Care preferred.
