Athletic Trainer - Hamilton School District (060826.1) FULL TIME Job Description Position: Athletic Trainer for Hamilton School District. Responsibilities: Provide athletic training services to student athletes, including acute diagnoses and treatment of musculoskeletal injuries under the direction of a medical director. Cooperate with coaches and students in high‑school setting. Prevent injuries using modalities such as taping, bracing, exercises, and instruction. Recognize and evaluate injuries and provide emergency care within scope of practice. Rehabilitate injured athletes and plan programs to prevent injury and illness in conjunction with physical therapy, EMT, primary care provider and/or orthopedic surgeon. Minimum Qualifications Education: Bachelors or Master’s degree in Athletic Training. Licensures/Certification/Registrations: Current NATA certification in good standing, current BCLS (CPR) certification. Job Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Knowledge of a large range of medical problems. Assessment, evaluation and treatment skills, working with other healthcare professionals and coaches. Ability to think critically and make independent decisions regarding assessment, treatment, rehabilitation and return‑to‑play decisions per state licensure guidelines. Thorough and detailed injury tracking and documentation. Ability to organize, prioritize and perform multiple tasks with little or no supervision. Experience: Entry level.
