BAS Controls Specialist (Mid & Sr. Level) – Ashburn, VA – $85K–$140K + Bonus – Data Center & Building Automation About the Opportunity: A well-established Data Center and Building Automation contractor is seeking a skilled BAS Controls Specialist (Mid & Senior Level) in Ashburn, VA. This role focuses on commissioning, troubleshooting, and servicing advanced BAS systems for mission-critical and commercial facilities. Position Details: Title: BAS Controls Specialist (Mid & Sr. Level) Location: Ashburn, VA Compensation: $85K–$140K (DOE) + ~20% Bonus Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Tele-Doctors, HSA & FSA Plans Retirement: 401K with Match Perks: Company Laptop, Company Cell Phone or Allowance Time Off: Vacation, Sick, and Holiday Pay Responsibilities: Commission, test, and troubleshoot BAS controllers, including Tr/Niagara systems. Refine, rewrite, and optimize sequences of operation to improve system efficiency. Service and support both proprietary and open building automation platforms. Perform point‑to‑point device checkout, system verification, and functional testing. Integrate multiple protocols, including BACnet, Modbus, and TCP/IP. Install and configure DDC controllers, sensors, relays, and control panels. Fabricate, assemble, and wire low‑voltage control cabinets. Accurately terminate and label low‑voltage cabling. Calibrate actuators, temperature sensors, and field devices for reliable performance.Commission systems and maintain thorough daily test documentation. Ideal Candidate: Hands‑on experience as a BAS Technician, Specialist, or equivalent position. Strong skills in troubleshooting, field commissioning, and system diagnostics. Familiarity with various BAS platforms; Tridium Niagara experience is a plus . Ability to work independently or within a cross‑disciplinary project team.
