divh2DOT Yard Jockey CDL Required/h2p1st shift: Monday-Thursday 5AM-3:30 PM/pp$23/hour/ppDescription of the Position: Drives gasoline or diesel-powered tractors to transport and spot trailers at appropriate loading docks and/or staging areas./ppResponsibilities:/pulliPerforms trailer movements by attaching drive unit to trailers to move to and from dock doors for loading and unloading./liliChecks trailer lights and tires and inspects truck for defects before and after trips and submit reports indicating truck condition./liliMonitors truck refrigeration units and may check temperature./liliMaintains an orderly lot and paperwork for trailer locations by performing daily yard checks./liliChecks empty trailers to ensure cleanliness./liliRead and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals./liliWrite routine reports and correspondence./liliAdhere to all safety guidelines and rules./liliFollow corporate and site-specific Good Manufacturing Practices and report noncompliance when observed./liliObserve all company safety rules and assist in enforcement as appropriate./li/ulpHigh School Diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of experience and education. 1-year verifiable experience. Must be able to operate a yard truck safely. Forklift experience necessary. Class A CDL license may be required./p/div
