HVAC Equipment Commissioning Manager

Onsite position in Johnson Controls. Job Overview Equipment Commissioning Manager (EqCM) supporting the Equipment North America organization on startup, warranty, and coordination with other service needs. Responsibilities Supports EqNA sales during project estimate by specifying whether service can be performed as S/R or requires a Service Mechanical project. Provides custom quote for service items outside the PCAT policy. Verifies that the branch has trained technicians for the equipment and coordinates training with the Truck Based Service Manager. Attends RTO meetings for complex projects or those sold with a Planned Service Agreement (PSA) to identify scope concerns. Validates PSA details with the SAE/Agent Project Owner and provides required documentation. Conducts weekly service turnover meetings with SAEs and the Branch Operations Manager to coordinate current and future service scopes and provide status updates to the EqNA Operations Team. Works with the customer to introduce Connected Service capabilities. Coordinates scheduled work and changes directly with the EqNA customer. Ensures asset records are created in NxGen and assigned to the correct site for future SRs/quotes. Manages delivery related to FOB Destination and communicates status back to the SAE and customer. Confirms warranty navigation details and works with the SAE and Warranty Admin team to address discrepancies. Monitors Long‑Term Storage (LTS) requirements and coordinates with the SAE and customer. Promotes Pronto Forms utilization for pre‑startup checklists, inspections, and warranty work. Ensures startup is completed, provides documentation, and enters dates in NxGen and Warranty Navigator. Provides warranty certification to the EqNA customer. Ensures SRs are invoiced promptly upon scope completion. Acts as the first point of contact for warranty requests, coordinates dispatch and claim filing with the CRC and Warranty Service Coordinator. Escalates and resolves issues preventing warranty work completion, including parts and resource availability, and works with product technical support as needed. Facilitates technical support for EqNA customers as required. Qualifications 10+ years of industry experience or a Technical Engineering or Construction degree graduate. Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Adobe Writer, basic Windows operating system. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills. Good conflict resolution skills. Positive representation of Johnson Controls and ability to communicate with others at varying technical levels. Demonstrated ability to manage a large and diverse number of projects with professionalism, cooperation, and persistence. Organizational skills and attention to detail. Preferred Qualifications BA degree in Engineering or Construction. HVAC equipment knowledge. Proficiency with MS Office Suite. Compensation Salary range: $110,000 – $135,000 USD.
