Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position with a minimum of 18 months of permanent experience and an active Ohio or compact RN license in hand.

Details

• Med/Surg Telemetry unit in a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Contract length options of 13 or 18 weeks
• Local candidates are accepted for this position

Requirements

• Active OH RN license or compact RN license currently in hand — no pending licenses accepted
• Active AHA BLS and ACLS certifications currently in hand — no pending certifications accepted
• NIHSS certification preferred
• Minimum of 18 months of permanent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience required
• One professional reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the same specialty, from an assignment worked within the past 12 months (co-worker references will not be accepted)
• A copy of Driver's License and Social Security Card are required for consideration
• No open background case or license violations — all BG and license hits are reviewed by the facility
• Must not be a nicotine user (nurses are currently exempt from this requirement until further notice)

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments are completed during orientation; a passing score is required, with a maximum of 2 attempts allowed
• PBDS assessment is waived for this position
• BCI/FBI fingerprinting must be completed within 48 hours of signing the contract
• Pre-start modules are required and average 6–15 hours; partial module hours are billable
• All RTO requests must be discussed and submitted prior to the interview
• Travelers may not be simultaneously submitted for more than one position within the Cleveland Clinic Health System
• Permanent and per diem candidates who previously worked at a Cleveland Clinic facility must have a 1-year break from their last end date before being considered
• Travelers may remain on assignment for up to 18 consecutive months, after which a 6-month break is required before returning to any Cleveland Clinic location
