• $7,500 Sign On Bonus

• Day Shift

• Weekend Rotation 1x Per Month

Staff Development/Infection Preventionist- This leadership role is responsible for educating and developing nursing staff while leading the facility's Infection Prevention and Control Program to ensure the highest standards of resident care and regulatory compliance by:

• Coordinating new hire orientation, ongoing education, annual competencies, and mandatory in-service training.

• Mentoring and supporting nursing staff through education, coaching, and clinical guidance.

• Tracking education requirements, certifications, and competency completion.

• Leading the facility's Infection Prevention and Control Program in accordance with CDC, CMS, OSHA, state, and company guidelines.

• Conducting infection surveillance, investigate outbreaks, monitor trends, and implement prevention strategies.

• Educating staff on infection prevention practices, PPE, hand hygiene, and isolation precautions.

• Collaborating with the interdisciplinary team.

• Maintaining accurate infection control records, reports, and regulatory documentation.

• Participating in survey preparation and serve as a resource for infection prevention and staff education.

Qualifications:

• Current RN license in good standing.

• Long-term care experience required.

• Previous Staff Development and/or Infection Prevention experience/training preferred.

• Infection Preventionist training or certification is a plus.

• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and teaching skills.

• Knowledge of CMS regulations, CDC guidelines, and infection prevention standards.

License:  

• Must have an active RN Registered Nurse license in WV.
