FOH Support

Front-of-House Restaurant Position

This position will support the front-of-house operations of the restaurant, including running food, bussing tables, assisting with glassware and resetting of tables.

Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks - Depending on the shift's role, a combination of these:

• Setup stations for the assigned shifts, to ensure sanitation supplies, trays and bus tubs are available.
• Deliver food from the kitchen to their assigned tables, as orders are completed.
• Assist in setup of tables before seating guests.
• Pre-bus tables and clear empty plates while guests are seated.
• Clear and clean tables after guests have departed.
• Replace and refill glass bottles during guest meals, as empty.
• Clean glassware in the bar dish machine as needed or requested.
• Clear and replace bus tubs from service carts as needed or requested.
• Assist with end-of-shift sweeping and/or mopping as needed or requested.
• Provide great customer service.

Qualifications:

• Able to provide top-notch customer service in a fast-paced environment.
• Positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure with all restaurant staff.
• High-quality work while unsupervised.
• Able to safely lift and easily maneuver trays of glassware and food when necessary.
• Able to follow instructions and ask questions for clarification if needed.
• Able to work in a busy restaurant environment.

Preferences:

• Previous work experience as a Host/Hostess.
• Understanding of restaurant etiquette.
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations.
• Experience in managing reservations.
• Demonstrable customer-service skills.
• Excellent communication skills (via phone and in-person).
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to monitor the entire dining and bar area.
• Pleasant, friendly, and accommodating to customers.
• Team player.
• Able to accommodate different personalities.

Work Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, etc. for extended periods, and lift up to 25 lbs.
• Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
