This role focuses on folding, counting, and packaging finished fabric products according to detailed work orders. You ensure each item meets quality standards through visual inspection and prepare products for shipment by following specific packaging and stacking instructions. The position involves regular lifting of up to 30 pounds and requires standing for extended periods in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities

• Fold, count, and package finished fabric products into designated boxes according to work orders and packaging specifications.
• Review work orders carefully to confirm quantities, colors, and specific packaging instructions, including how products must be stacked in each box.
• Perform thorough visual inspections of all products to ensure consistency, quality, and adherence to standards.
• Follow established production and packaging procedures to maintain accuracy and efficiency.
• Lift boxes and materials weighing up to 30 pounds throughout the workday while maintaining safe handling practices.
• Stand for extended periods while performing production, packaging, and inspection tasks.
• Operate production and packaging equipment and machines as needed, following safety and operational guidelines.
• Support general labor tasks within the production area, including organizing materials and maintaining a clean work space.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and adjust to changing priorities.
• Adapt to different roles within the production area and learn new tasks as required.
• Accept and apply direction and feedback from supervisors and colleagues to improve performance and work quality.
• Use simple math skills (addition, subtraction, division, multiplication) to verify counts, quantities, and orders.

Essential Skills

• Experience working in packaging, production, or general labor roles.
• Ability to perform accurate visual inspection of products to ensure consistency and quality.
• Capability to lift up to 30 pounds repeatedly throughout the day.

Work Environment

This role is based in a production environment that operates at a fast pace, with ongoing activity and multiple tasks in motion. The position involves standing for extended periods, lifting up to 30 pounds throughout the day, and performing hands-on tasks with packaging and equipment. Comfortable, practical attire suitable for a manufacturing setting is recommended to ensure safety and ease of movement.

This is a Permanent position based out of NEW ULM, MN.

The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $16.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
