Job Responsibilities
This position supports the Financial Aid and Veterans Assistance office by providing direct service to students, families, and campus partners. The Financial Aid Coordinator assists with financial aid and veterans educational benefits advising, record keeping, document review, and student communication while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and institutional requirements. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Preferred Qualifications
Preferred candidates will have strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate clearly and professionally. Experience with financial aid processes, student information systems, or integrated databases is preferred. Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills are important, along with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and institutional regulations.

- Provide accurate and timely assistance to students, families, and the campus community regarding financial aid programs by in-person visits, phone, virtual meetings, and email.
- Review, evaluate, and process financial aid applications and supporting documents to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with eligibility requirements.
- Support daily financial aid operations through data entry, maintaining electronic files and records, research, and coordination with financial aid staff, veterans certifying officials, and other campus partners.
- Assist students with financial aid eligibility questions, required documentation, policies, and procedures.
- Monitor and respond to departmental phone calls and email inquiries, and follow up on student requests related to enrollment and aid status.
- Provide information and support related to Veterans Educational Benefit Programs, including general guidance, certification requirements, and processing timeframes.
- Use student information systems and related programs to maintain accurate records and support student success efforts, including financial wellness and default prevention initiatives.
- Participate in cross-training, committee service, and departmental training support as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
