Job Summary and Qualifications As a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Obstetrics Operating Room (OB OR) unit, you will coordinate and provide patient care for all assigned patients, playing a central role in delivering patient‑centered nursing care and collaborating with all health‑care disciplines to execute the patient’s plan of care. Review patient history before beginning a physical assessment and incorporate findings into the exam. Perform physical patient assessments/reassessments on a regular basis in accordance with department standards. Incorporate available technology to aid in physical assessment. In collaboration with interdisciplinary team members, formulate a plan of care including expected outcomes for each patient based on diagnoses derived from patient assessments. Job Requirements Experience Minimum 1 year of clinical nursing experience as a Registered Nurse (RN) Education Graduate of an accredited nursing school with a Nursing Diploma, Associate’s Degree, or higher level of education. Licenses and Certifications Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or holding an active compact license, in accordance with law and regulation. Full‑time, part‑time, or PRN colleagues with a compact license from a state other than Texas must: apply for a Texas RN license within 60 days from hire, obtain a current Texas RN license within 6 months of application. BCLS certification. ACLS certification – 90‑day grace period to obtain. NRP certification – 90‑day grace period to obtain.
